Serving

At Clinton UMC, we have many opportunities to serve at church, in the community, and in the world and we are changing lives every day!

To join us in serving, call the church office at 660-885-5597 or email office@clintonumc.net and we will help you get started!

Church

Care: When someone in our church group needs some special attention, we are here to help.  Prayer Teams offer prayers, the Visitation Team visits shut-ins, the Pastor and church members visit those in the hospital. The Prayer Shawl ministry creates shawls for those in need.

Facilities: occasional workdays are held for spring and fall clean ups.  Opportunities for other landscaping and building maintenance projects come up too.

Guest Services: Each Sunday, someone helps in the office, greeters and ushers help before and during the service, acolytes light candles, a nursery needs volunteers, folks help with Sunday morning fellowship time and other necessary tasks.

Bus Drivers/Riders: If you or someone you know needs a ride, please call the church office before Friday at 3 PM to be included on the list to be picked up.

Media & Technology: Tech Teams work cameras and sound to broadcast to Facebook and KDKD and needs some helpers at times. Photographers are needed to take pictures and help keep the website and social media fresh and inviting.

Hospitality: a wonderful group of folks cook a meal for families after funerals, several potluck and ice cream socials are held as fellowship activities for our church family. Fellowship Time is held every Sunday at 9:00 with donuts, coffee, juice and milk for a fellowship time between early service and Sunday School.

Community

Samaritan Center: many members of our church volunteer at this important community center that helps those in need of food, clothing and household items. Outreach money is donated each month to support its operation.

Project Christmas Cheer: This annual event for the less fortunate in our community is held at both the Samaritan Center and at our Church.  Countless volunteers donate toys, food, blankets, socks and other items that are given to families in need.  Outreach money is also donated for this project.

Bright Futures: Many members and groups in the church sponsor classes or help with special events at the school. Our annual sock and undie collections go to help kids at the Back to School fair each summer.

Book Buddies: Individuals in our church have volunteered to go to the school and listen to kids read, or read to kids.  A special time that creates a special bond and love of reading.

Camp Sagrada: Sagrada Scholarship Bible Camp is a summer camp located in the Ozarks south of Lincoln, MO  for children between the ages of 8 and 17 whose parents are incarcerated.  The camp introduces the children to a lifetime relationship with Jesus.  Our church assists them with funding for scholarships, and also assists with work days at the camp.  For further information their website is Camp Sagrada.
